JOB VACANCY - Funeral Logistics and Operations Manager
A reputable and established Funeral Home is seeking a Funeral Logistics and Operations Manager to oversee the effective management of its fleet, mortuary operations, and casketing services. This role is critical to ensuring smooth operations, regulatory compliance, and the delivery of dignified, professional service to clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate the funeral home fleet of vehicles, including scheduling, maintenance, compliance, and driver oversight
- Oversee mortuary and casketing operations, ensuring adherence to health, safety, and regulatory standards
- Ensure timely and efficient logistics for removals, funerals, and burials
- Supervise and support operational staff, ensuring accountability and performance standards are met
- Implement and enforce operational policies, procedures, and service standards
- Liaise with funeral directors, administrative teams, and external stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery
- Maintain accurate operational records and reports
- Identify operational risks and recommend improvements for efficiency and service excellence
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in operations, logistics, fleet management, or a related field
- Prior experience in the funeral services, healthcare, or regulated service industry will be an asset
- Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Sound knowledge of health and safety standards, fleet management, and operational controls
- Ability to work extended hours and respond to emergencies as required
- Excellent communication and people-management skills
