Senior Operations Supervisor
Our client in the facilities services industry is seeking to recruit a Senior Operations Supervisor on a 12-month renewable contract. The company provides services across industrial, commercial, and office sites, operating 7 days a week with day and night shifts, and handling occasional special projects.
Employment Terms:
- Contract: 12-month renewable
- Base Salary: TTD $7,000 per month
- Phone Allowance: TTD $400 per month
- Performance Bonus: Up to TTD $600 per month
- Location: Port of Spain/Environs
The Role:
The Senior Operations Supervisor will lead Shift System & Workforce Oversight for approximately 25 employees assigned to various projects:
- Night Shift: 7 days per week with approximately 7 full-time and 17 part-time staff
- Day Shift (Plant): 2 full-time staff, 7 days per week
- Office Cleaning: 1 full-time staff, Monday–Friday (2:00 PM – 6:00 PM)
The Supervisor will oversee daily operations, manage staff across all shifts, act as the main point of contact for clients, and support business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage staff attendance, scheduling, and shift coverage
- Handle sick calls, emergencies, and replacements
- Supervise night, day, and office operations
- Implement discipline and performance management
- Conduct site inspections and quality audits
- Liaise with clients on operational matters
- Oversee onboarding, orientation, and staff training
- Coordinate one-off and special projects
- Prepare weekly operational reports
Experience & Qualifications
- Experience managing multi-shift teams and coordinating operational priorities is highly desirable
- Minimum of five (5) CXC subjects, including Mathematics and English Language
- 3–5 years supervisory or operations experience, preferably in service, facilities, or field-based environments
- Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment, professionalism, and authority in day-to-day operations
- Experience managing multi-shift teams and coordinating operational priorities is highly desirable
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable transportation (mandatory)
- Flexible availability (days, nights, weekends)
- High level of professionalism, judgment, and integrity
- Basic computer and reporting skills
Certifications (An Asset)
Facilities Management or Property Services certification
Supervisory or Operations Management training
HSE or safety-related certification
Work Schedule Overview
This section provides an overview to help candidates understand the role’s time expectations:
- Flexible Working Hours: Approximately 30–35 hours per week, structured to support operational.
- Night Audits: Conducted 2–3 times per week (approximately 9:45 PM – 12:00 AM,if required). Audit nights can be rotated at the Supervisor’s discretion
- Remote Work Flexibility: Daytime administrative tasks may be completed remotely where appropriate
- Adaptive Scheduling: The schedule may be adjusted to align with operational priorities and on-site requirements
