Terminal Manager – Montego Bay
The Terminal Manager has responsibility for planning, guiding, and executing all terminal operational activities in compliance with all regulatory and Company safety standards and procedures.
Main Duties:
- Reviews and ensures that all terminal operations standards and procedures are current and adheres to regulatory stipulations.
- Manages the Ship to Shore process to ensure the smooth and safe transfer of products and within timeline to eliminate costs to the Company.
- Plans and manages the daily operations of the terminal including logistics, preparation for delivery, offloading and product storage and scheduling workforce for efficiency.
- Ensures that facilities are kept in a manner so that the product always meets the required quality standards.
- Collaborates with stakeholders to ensure that projects are successfully managed including scope, deliverables, risk assessments and resource allocation.
- Implements and maintains an effective preventative maintenance programme for the terminal to ensure optimal operational efficiency.
- Contributes to fostering an inspiring, productive, safe and collaborative work environment and culture of accountability, engagement, diversity, equity and inclusion that empowers employees to actively work toward companywide goals.
- Provide overall oversight for the Production Planning Process to achieve deliverables and KPI’s for the relevant Asset Group.
- Ensure costs expended on Terminal projects or maintenance are accounted for by ensuring commercials are closed out, signed off and invoices are submitted in a timely manner.
- Ensure the Massy Gas Products Quality Management system and Procedures are understood and implemented.
- Oversees audits, ensures safety compliance, conducts risk assessments, undertakes inspections, provides training, and promotes environmental sustainability.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A first degree in Engineering or related field.
- Ten (10) years’ experience in the gas industry with at least five (5) at a senior level.
- Incident Commander Training
- Knowledge of the gas industry technical codes, standard, and regulations would be an asset.
- Working knowledge of Health, Safety and Environment practices.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to provide direction to, listen to and inspire others.
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and deliver results.
