The Solar Advisor is responsible for educating customers on solar energy solutions and guiding them from initial consultation through system recommendation and sale. This role combines technical understanding, consultative selling, and customer relationship management to deliver energy-efficient, cost-saving solar solutions for residential and commercial clients. The ideal candidate should be confident, trustworthy, solutions-oriented, and be comfortable with engaging customers both in person and digitally.
Roles and Responsibilities
Sales & Client Engagement
- Conduct in-person and virtual consultations with residential and commercial clients
- Assess customer energy needs, usage patterns, and budget constraints
- Educate customers on solar PV systems, batteries, inverters, and energy-saving benefits
- Present tailored solar solutions and clearly explain system performance and ROI
- Prepare and present quotations and proposals in collaboration with the technical team
- Close sales while maintaining ethical, consultative sales practices
Site Assessments & Coordination
- Conduct preliminary site visits to evaluate roof space, shading, and installation feasibility
- Liaise with engineers, installers, and operations teams to ensure accurate system design
- Ensure smooth handover from sales to installation and after-sales support
Customer Relationship Management
- Maintain ongoing communication with prospects and existing clients
- Follow up on leads, quotations, and pending decisions
- Provide post-sale support and ensure customer satisfaction
- Build long-term client relationships and referral opportunities
Content Creation & Brand Engagement
- Actively participate in content creation activities including photos, videos, testimonials, reels, and short-form digital content
- Assist with product demonstrations, site walkthroughs, and customer success stories
- Collaborate with the marketing team to support campaigns, promotions, and brand awareness initiatives
- Represent the company professionally in marketing content, events, and public-facing activities
Administrative & Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of leads, proposals, and sales activities
- Update CRM systems and submit regular sales reports
- Stay informed on product updates, pricing, and industry trends
Requirements
- Minimum of 2–3 years’ experience in sales, preferably in solar, energy, construction, or technical products
- Minimum Certificate Level Qualifications in Sales and Electrical Technology Related Studies
- Strong understanding of customer-centric selling
- Ability to interpret electrical or energy usage information
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel for site visits and sales initiatives islandwide
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace , Popular Task Management and CRM Platforms
