1. Fiber Optic Splicer
Job Description
Responsible for splicing, testing, and maintaining fiber optic cables to ensure high-quality network performance.
Key Responsibilities
Perform fusion in closures and cabinets
Conduct OTDR and power meter testing
Troubleshoot and repair fiber faults
Prepare splice diagrams and test results
Follow company safety and quality standards
Requirements
Proven experience or certification in fiber optic splicing
Knowledge of single-mode and multi-mode fiber
Experience using splicing and testing equipment
Willingness to work in the field and after hours when required
Strong attention to detail
2. Linesman
Job Description
Responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of aerial and underground fiber optic infrastructure across various locations in Trinidad & Tobago.
Key Responsibilities
Install and maintain aerial fiber cables on utility poles
Climb poles and work at heights safely
Install anchors, brackets, and supporting hardware
Repair damaged cables caused by weather, vegetation, or vehicular impact
Adhere to T&TEC safety guidelines and company procedures
Requirements
Experience working as a Linesman or similar role
Comfortable working at heights and outdoors
Physically fit and safety-oriented
Valid Trinidad & Tobago driver’s permit is an asset
Knowledge of pole hardware and cable routing
3. Fiber Optics Installer
Job Description
Responsible for installing and activating fiber optic services at residential and commercial customer premises.
Key Responsibilities
Install and terminate drop cables
Mount, activate, and test ONUs/ONTs and routers
Verify light levels and service quality
Educate customers on basic equipment usage
Complete installation reports accurately
Requirements
Experience in fiber optic or telecommunications installations
Basic networking knowledge
Strong customer service and communication skills
Ability to troubleshoot basic service issues
Willingness to work flexible hours
