MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Oversee scenario analysis, stress testing inputs, early warning indicators and contributions to systemic risk assessments and policy recommendations.
- Coordinate cross departmental work on macro prudential measures, policy evaluation and regulatory impact analysis.
- Establish and enforce enterprise standards for risk measurement, model governance, validation, reproducibility and documentation across macro, sectoral, conduct and AML analytics.
- Oversee development and maintenance of quantitative models and tools for systemic risk indicators, sector stress tests, firm‑level vulnerability scans, conduct risk metrics, typologies and scenario analysis.
- Oversee design, resilience and security of analytics infrastructure and data pipelines in coordination with MIS/IT; prioritise interoperability for sectoral and macro datasets.
- Ensure coordinated publications strategy and editorial standards across Statistics & Publications and surveillance units: timely statistical releases, risk dashboards, systemic briefs and stakeholder communications, with rigorous QA and embargo controls.
- Lead the development and continuous monitoring of frameworks and early‑warning systems that integrate macro indicators, sectoral vulnerability signals, conduct metrics and AML intelligence; ensure clear escalation pathways to supervisors and Senior Management.
- Approve and quality‑assure sector risk reports, dashboards and statutory risk publications; ensure outputs are actionable for prudential, conduct and AML supervisory interventions.
- Translate integrated analytics into supervisory priorities, targeted interventions and policy advice; brief the Executive and Board on cross‑cutting risks to financial stability, consumer protection and market integrity.
- Oversee the development of risk methodology, indicators and risk profiles to periodically track entities’ ML/TF risks and compliance.
- Oversee the conduct of thematic studies to understand ML/TF trends locally, regionally and internationally and report on same.
- Oversee the design, development and maintenance of reports to provide to CFATF and other standard setting bodies for the purpose of conducting country assessments/evaluations
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Master of Science in Economics, Finance, Statistics, Data Science or related discipline.
- Minimum 10–12 years’ relevant experience across macro‑financial analysis, prudential risk, conduct or AML risk assessment and supervision, with at least 5 years in senior leadership roles overseeing multiple teams.
- Demonstrable track record leading integrated analytics programmes, stress testing, model governance and publication of authoritative evidence.
