A well-established medical practice in Kingston, Jamaica is seeking an experienced General Manager to provide overall leadership for clinical and non-clinical operations. This role is responsible for ensuring operational excellence, financial sustainability, regulatory compliance, and an exceptional patient experience, in partnership with clinical leadership.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide strategic leadership and execute operational plans aligned with clinical goals and financial objectives
- Oversee day-to-day operations, including front desk, scheduling, electronic medical records, and IT systems
- Develop, manage, and monitor the annual operating budget, revenue performance, and cost controls
- Ensure compliance with all applicable healthcare regulations, data protection, and privacy requirements
- Lead, manage, and develop clinical and non-clinical teams, including recruitment, performance management, and staff engagement
- Champion a patient-centered culture and drive initiatives to improve patient satisfaction, access, and service quality
- Identify and mitigate operational, financial, and clinical risks; maintain audit readiness
- Develop, implement, and enforce policies, procedures, and standard operating procedures
- Oversee facilities, equipment maintenance, safety standards, and cybersecurity protocols
- Support business growth through oversight of marketing, business development, and stakeholder relationships
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum of 5–7 years’ progressive leadership experience in healthcare operations or medical practice management
- Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, financial management, and operational controls
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related discipline
- Professional certification such as CMPE or equivalent
- Experience managing multi-site operations
