About the Role
The Senior Manager, Corporate & Investment Banking is a senior client‑facing and transaction‑execution leader responsible for originating, structuring, and delivering complex financing and advisory solutions to corporate, institutional, and government clients.
The role combines relationship management, credit and risk assessment, and investment‑banking execution, including debt and equity capital markets, structured finance, project finance, and M&A advisory.
The incumbent will lead deal teams, manage key client relationships, and contribute to the strategic growth of the Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) franchise.
Key Responsibilities
1. Client Coverage & Relationship Management
- Serve as a senior relationship manager for top‑tier corporate, institutional, and government clients.
- Develop deep client insights to identify financing, advisory, and risk‑management opportunities.
- Lead client meetings, strategic discussions, and pitch presentations.
- Maintain a strong pipeline of revenue‑generating opportunities across lending, capital markets, and advisory.
2. Transaction Origination & Structuring
- Originate and structure complex financing solutions including:
- Corporate loans and syndicated facilities
- Project and infrastructure finance
- Acquisition financing
- Structured and asset‑backed financing
- Trade finance and working capital solutions
- Lead origination of investment‑banking mandates including:
- M&A advisory
- Equity and debt capital raising
- Private placements
- Strategic corporate advisory
- Develop tailored solutions that align with client strategy, risk appetite, and market conditions.
3. Transaction Execution & Deal Leadership
- Lead end‑to‑end execution of financing and advisory transactions.
- Oversee financial modelling, valuation, credit analysis, and transaction structuring.
- Coordinate internal and external stakeholders including legal counsel, regulators, rating agencies, auditors, and investors.
- Review and negotiate term sheets, credit agreements, and transaction documentation.
- Ensure timely and high‑quality execution of all deliverables.
4. Credit Risk Assessment & Portfolio Management
- Conduct detailed credit assessments, financial analysis, and risk evaluations for new and existing clients.
- Prepare and present credit proposals to internal credit committees.
- Monitor portfolio performance, covenant compliance, and early‑warning indicators.
- Recommend risk‑mitigation strategies and portfolio optimization measures.
5. Market & Sector Intelligence
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of macroeconomic trends, capital markets activity, regulatory developments, and sector‑specific dynamics.
- Produce market insights, sector reports, and strategic recommendations for clients and internal stakeholders.
- Identify emerging opportunities in priority sectors.
6. Leadership, Team Development & Internal Contribution
- Lead deal teams and mentor junior bankers, analysts, and associates.
- Promote a culture of excellence, collaboration, and disciplined execution.
- Contribute to strategic planning, product development, and business‑growth initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience
Master’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field (CFA, FRM, or similar credentials preferred).
7–10+ years’ experience in corporate banking, investment banking, or structured finance.
Proven track record in originating and executing complex financing and advisory transactions.
Strong understanding of credit analysis, capital markets, corporate finance, and regulatory frameworks.
Experience managing senior‑level client relationships and delivering strategic solutions.

Advanced financial modelling and valuation skills.
Strong credit analysis and risk‑assessment capability.
Deep knowledge of capital markets instruments, corporate lending, and structured finance.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and financial databases (Bloomberg, Refinitiv, S&P Capital IQ).
Strong understanding of legal documentation and transaction structuring.
