MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Risk Management - Coordinating and collating self-assessments (RCSAs) and ensuring alignment of management actions.
- Ensuring systems assurance by the review of reports from systems administrators on the preventative maintenance routines, logs and incidents.
- Coordinating the tracking and alignment of action plans for internal and external audits and responding and following up on security issues highlighted in audits.
- Identifying security policies that require creation and/or revision; conducting research and making recommendations aligned with business direction and in keeping with industry standards.
- Defining and updating security standards and configurations in relation to architecture, applications and infrastructure.
- Aligning existing standards to current business/IT direction and developing security roadmaps.
- Reviewing security elements of designs submitted for projects and making changes and recommendations for approval by Design Authority.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
- A first degree in Computer Science or a related discipline from a recognised tertiary institution.
- Minimum five (5) years’ prior experience working in information security/internal audit related field in financial services sector.
- Training and certification in information security practices, e.g. Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
- In-depth knowledge of system security
- Knowledge of ISO and COBIT/ITIL standards
- Technical knowledge of corporate computer systems.
