JOB SUMMARY
The Product Development and Destination Manager will be responsible for the co-ordination and implementation of projects and activities which will enhance the growth, quality, competitiveness and sustainability of the tourism product in Tobago. This will include all aspects of the industry marketed by the Tobago Tourism Agency Limited (TTAL).

Product Development and Destination Management Officer
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and deliver an annual programme of activities which seeks to enhance the growth, quality, competitiveness and sustainability of the tourism product in Tobago.
- Develop quality standards for the tourism products and services in Tobago.
- Design, deliver and/or co-ordinate training and development programmes dealing with sustainable tourism and product development.
- Create a stronger link between product development and marketing activities at TTAL.
- Oversee the management and implementation of all on-island Tour Operator, Travel Agent and Media visits/activities.
- Develop materials to promote the various tourism products in Tobago.
- Liaise with other government departments and agencies, non-governmental organizations, the private sector and other relevant entities to execute product development plans and activities.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Qualification in Project Management would be an asset.
- Five (5) years of leadership experience.
- Manage Visitor Information Centers at ports of entry.
- Develop and co-ordinate Tourism Crisis Management/Disaster Preparedness Plan.
- Co-ordinate all activities with respect to Product Development Commission.
- Develop policies to guide the Department.
- Manage the Product and Destination Management Team in accordance with the Performance Management Policy.
- Adhere to the Health and Safety Policy and procedures of the Agency.
- Adhere to the Procurement Policy and procedures at the Agency.
- From time to time, perform other job-related tasks assigned, beside those set out in the Job Description.
- Assist with the co-ordination of tourism related special events and festivals.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- A Master’s Degree in Tourism Management, Planning or Resource Management.
- Eight (8) years experience.
