IT Security Manager
The IT Security Manager is accountable for protecting the organization’s information assets and systems by enforcing security policies, mitigating risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance. The role leads incident response, manages audits, and promotes security awareness, with success measured by maintaining data confidentiality, integrity, and availability and enabling secure business operations.
Duties of the Position Include:
- Developing, implementing, and maintaining information security policies, standards, and procedures.
- Conducting regular risk assessments and recommending mitigation strategies.
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
- Managing enterprise security tools (firewalls, SIEM, endpoint protection, intrusion detection).
- Overseeing access control, identity and privileged account management
- Leading vulnerability management, penetration testing, and remediation efforts.
- Monitoring security operations and coordinating incident detection and response.
- Directing incident response efforts, including investigation, containment, and reporting.
- Maintaining disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
- Conducting root cause analysis for security incidents and recommending corrective actions.
Qualification and Experience:
- Minimum - Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Professional certification required: CISSP, CISM, CISA, CEH, or equivalent.
- At least 7 years of progressive IT security experience, with a minimum of 3 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, enterprise security architecture, and risk management practices.
- Hands-on experience with security operations, incident response, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex issues clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience in the hospitality, tourism, or service industry.
- Familiarity with cloud security, data privacy frameworks, and emerging technologies (AI/IoT).
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, projects, and cross-functional teams.
