SNR.  HUMAN RESOURCE OFFICER - KINGSTON

The selected candidate will support our HR Operations, providing assistance with recruitment, employee relations, compliance and HR Strategy to enable a motivated and high-performing workforce.

 Other duties/responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Support the Human Resource and Administration Manager in executing HR Policies and procedures
• Coordinate all actions covering the entire span of human resources staffing activities (recruitment, on boarding, reassignment, promotion, performance management, career development as well as off boarding), ensuring consistency in the application of the staff rules and human resources policies and procedures
• Assist with the handling of employee relations including conflict resolution, grievances and disciplinary actions
• Ensure compliance with labour laws and company policies
• Promote a positive workplace culture and employee engagement 
• Support the development and implementation of all HR initiatives
• Work in collaboration with the HRM to facilitate training and develop programs to enhance employees’ skills
• Support the Unit with conflict mediation to foster a positive work environment

Qualification & Skills

• BSc Human Resource Management or any related Degree from a recognized tertiary institution
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience, preferably in a retail or fast-paced industry
• Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
• Proficiency in HR Software and Microsoft Suite
• Excellent human relations and interpersonal skills
• Decisive personality combined with coaching and mentoring skills
• Flexible, resilient, results oriented with a strong business focus
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality, display integrity and strong work ethic
• Energy, enthusiasm, and creativity
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
