ACCOUNTS PAYABLE CLERK
The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for providing financial, administrative, and clerical services. Providing these services in an effective and efficient manner will ensure that resort finances are accurate and up-to-date and that all vendors and suppliers are paid within established time limits.
Applicants should satisfy the following:
- General understanding of accounting practices and principles;
- Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial information;
- Knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and maintenance of general ledgers;
- Experience with automated accounting systems;
- Ability to maintain confidentiality concerning financial files;
- Bookkeeping skills that show high levels of attention to detail;
- Analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Effective written and verbal communication skills;
Qualifications and Experience:
- A minimum of one year’s experience in a similar position
- Five (5) CXC/G.C.E. O’Levels, including Mathematics and/or Accounts, English Language, and Principles of Business.
- Computer Literate—solid knowledge of spreadsheet applications
