Inform guests about the ordering system, menu options, and any special promotions, ensuring a seamless experience from arrival to order completion. Thank guests for their visit or order, and welcome them to return or place another order soon.
Menu Knowledge & Recommendations: Inform guests of daily specials and menu changes. Provide recommendations based on guest preferences to enhance their dining experience. Be familiar with all ingredients, cooking preparations, and portion sizes for all items on the current menus. Answer questions about our food, beverages and other restaurant functions and services.
Order Handling: Accurately take orders, enter them into the point-of-sale (POS) system, and promptly relay them to the kitchen. Promptly deliver completed orders to guests at the service counter, dining area and car park.
Payment Processing: Handle payments accurately using cash, credit cards, mobile payment systems, or gift cards, ensuring all transactions are processed securely and efficiently.
Delivery & Takeout Coordination: Manage delivery and takeout orders, ensuring they are processed, prepared, and dispatched efficiently, and provide customers with order updates.
Dining Room Oversight: Monitor guest satisfaction throughout the dining experience, addressing any concerns or special requests promptly and courteously. Regularly clear and clean dining tables.
Complaint Resolution: Address guest complaints by listening attentively, sincerely apologising, and taking appropriate action to resolve the issue.
Cleanliness & Organisation: Maintain cleanliness in the dining area and service stations, including tables, floors, counters, and other surfaces. Discard and take out trash.
Additional Tasks: Complete opening, closing and side work checklist to ensure smooth operations. Assist other staff during busy shifts with tasks to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations. Complete any additional tasks assigned by the supervisor or manager. Attend all scheduled employee meetings and bring suggestions for improvement.
