Chief Operating Officer (COO)
We are seeking an experienced, visionary, and execution-focused Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead the Shipper’s continued growth and regional expansion. The COO has full executive responsibility for the leadership, strategic direction, and operational performance of the Company. This role requires demonstrated experience managing multi-location and multi-regional operations across the Caribbean and the United States, with the flexibility and willingness to travel as needed to oversee regional teams, partners, and facilities.

Principal Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
Develop, drive, and execute long-term corporate strategy approved by the Board of Directors
Lead and manage multi-location and multi-regional operations across the Caribbean and United States, including regular travel to regional markets
Execute strategic initiatives with discipline, translating objectives into measurable operational outcomes
Design, document, and continuously improve enterprise-wide operational systems, SOPs, and governance frameworks
Implement efficiency, productivity, and cost-optimization strategies supported by data and technology
Ensure operational targets are achieved, including profitability, customer experience, staff engagement, and return on equity
Prepare and present accurate, timely performance reports to the Board
Brand Stewardship and Development
Act as the primary steward of the Shipper’s brand across all regions, platforms, and channels
Ensure consistent application of brand guidelines across operations, customer touchpoints, partnerships, and marketing efforts
Lead the evolution and growth of the brand to strengthen customer trust, recognition, and market positioning
Business Development
Monitor industry trends, regulatory environments, and competitive dynamics
Engage key stakeholders to develop and maintain strong professional relationships
Identify untapped client segments and develop tailored growth strategies
Pursue new markets, partnerships, and revenue opportunities
Oversee marketing, PR, and strategic campaigns aligned with operational capabilities
Customer Experience and Loyalty
Embed a customer-experience-led culture driven by feedback, sentiment analysis, and performance metrics
Drive customer retention, loyalty, and lifetime value initiatives
Ensure customer concerns, complaints, and feedback are addressed efficiently and transparently
Logistics, Shipping, and Operational Expertise
Demonstrate strong understanding of retail shipping, corporate shipping, and e-commerce trends
Guide service design and operational models in response to changing consumer and procurement expectations
Oversee logistics solutions that balance speed, reliability, transparency, and cost efficiency
Technology, Systems, and Process Excellence
Leverage internal technology and software development capabilities to address operational and customer challenges
Champion automation, machinery, and software to improve processing accuracy, throughput, and scalability
Build and optimize logistics systems, process architecture, and SOPs
Translate operational pain points into prioritized technology initiatives with measurable business impact
Financial Oversight
Provide oversight to the Financial Controller in developing financial strategies that support effective operations
Ensure annual independent audits are conducted and reported to the Board of Directors
Ensure major projects are executed on time and within budget using disciplined project management practices
Authorize and monitor expenditures within approved budgets
Team Leadership, Management, and Culture
Build, lead, and retain high-performing regional and cross-functional teams
Demonstrate strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with staff, partners, suppliers, and stakeholders
Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, urgency, and continuous improvement
Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to enable high performance and professional growth
Establish clear KPIs and performance measures and hold teams accountable for results
Public Relations
Serve as the Company’s primary public-facing executive, representing the Shipper across media, investor, and public platforms
Oversee external communications to ensure clarity, consistency, and accuracy
Build and maintain strong relationships with media outlets, journalists, influencers, and industry publications
Proactively manage corporate reputation and public sentiment
Lead crisis communication planning and execution for operational, regulatory, or reputational events
Required Qualifications and Experience
Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Logistics, Operations, or a related discipline
Minimum of 10 years of senior executive leadership experience
Proven experience managing multi-regional, multi-jurisdictional operations across the Caribbean and North America
Deep experience in logistics, fulfillment, freight forwarding, retail or corporate shipping, or technology-enabled services
Strong strategic, analytical, interpersonal, and execution-focused leadership skills
