The Utilities Technician ensures the efficient operation, maintenance, and sanitation of assigned production machinery. This role is critical to achieving maximum machine reliability, product quality, and compliance with industry standards.
Machine Maintenance: Maintain and optimize production machines for efficiency and reliability.
Preventative & Corrective Maintenance: Perform scheduled and unscheduled electrical and mechanical tasks.
Troubleshooting: Apply mechanical and electrical principles to diagnose and resolve issues during operation.
Quality Assurance: Ensure products meet established quality standards.
Compliance: Adhere to SOPs, GMPs, and all safety guidelines.
Team Support: Collaborate with maintenance personnel and communicate effectively across teams.
Sanitation Protocols: Develop, enforce, and monitor cleaning procedures for equipment, production areas, and utensils.
Audit & Compliance: Conduct periodic audits of cleaning schedules to ensure regulatory compliance.
Corrective Action: Address sanitation issues promptly and implement preventive measures.
Diploma/Certificate: Technician’s qualification in Mechanical Engineering Technology with specialization in Utilities.
Industry Experience: Minimum 3 years in Manufacturing, Food, or Beverage sectors.
Technical Expertise: Skilled in maintaining, repairing, modifying, and installing machinery.
Analytical & Communication Skills: Strong problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication abilities across all organizational levels.
Multitasking: Proven ability to thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
Organizational Skills: Excellent coordination and planning capabilities.
