Elevate the Guest Experience at Ocean Hotels by becoming a Bar Supervisor
The ideal candidate is a charismatic leader with a deep knowledge of mixology, spirits, wines, and exceptional guest service standards. You will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of our bar, ensuring an unforgettable and high-quality experience for every guest.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership & Supervision: Oversee and motivate a team of bartenders and barbacks, including shift scheduling, training, and performance management to ensure all team members deliver exceptional service.
- Operational Management: Ensure the bar operates efficiently and profitably by managing inventory, minimizing waste, and maintaining par stock levels. Conduct accurate cash handling and closeout procedures.
- Quality & Standards: Uphold the highest standards for beverage preparation, presentation, and service. Regularly audit bar cleanliness, organization, and compliance with all health, safety, and liquor licensing regulations.
- Inventory & Cost Control: Place orders for all beverage stock, glassware, and supplies. Conduct monthly inventory counts and work with the F&B management team to analyze costs and maximize profitability.
- Menu Development: Assist the Bar Manager in updating and creating innovative cocktail and beverage menus that align with market trends and the hotel’s luxury brand.
- Guest Interaction: Act as a visible host, engaging with guests to resolve any service issues promptly and ensure high levels of guest satisfaction.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Proven experience (typically 2–3 years) in a supervisory role within a high-volume, upscale bar, restaurant, or hotel setting.
- Extensive knowledge of classic cocktails, premium spirits, craft beers, and wine service.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train, coach, and inspire a diverse team.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities, especially in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a professional and friendly demeanor.
- Must be detail-oriented and proficient in inventory management software and POS systems.
