The VP Information Technology and Digital Transformation will define and deliver SM Jaleel’s enterprise-wide technology vision, integrating artificial intelligence (AI), advanced manufacturing systems, and sustainable digital practices. This role will ensure IT and digital strategies directly support business growth, operational excellence, and environmental responsibility, while maintaining robust cybersecurity and data governance in a fast-paced FMCG environment.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Strategic Vision & Leadership

• Lead the development and execution of a forward-looking IT and digital strategy, embedding AI, automation, Industry 4.0 technologies, and enterprise systems including Epicor ERP.
• Drive the full adoption, integration, optimization, and compliance of the Epicor ERP system across the organization to ensure streamlined business processes, data accuracy, and regulatory adherence.
• Drive the adoption of sustainable, energy-efficient technology solutions across all operations.
• Act as a strategic advisor on emerging tech trends—including AI, IoT, and Industry 4.0—and their impact on competitiveness and efficiency.

Operations, Governance & Resilience

• Lead enterprise-wide IT operations, ensuring systems are scalable, secure, and optimized for manufacturing, logistics, and sales performance.
• Implement governance structures for IT risk management, compliance, and disaster recovery, with a focus on sustainable resilience.

Cybersecurity & Risk Oversight

• Design and enforce a robust cybersecurity framework that anticipates and mitigates evolving digital threats.
• Oversee incident response, vulnerability assessments, and regulatory compliance.
• Promote cyber awareness and best practices across all levels of the organization.

Data, AI & Analytics

• Lead the integration of AI-driven analytics, predictive maintenance tools, and business intelligence solutions to enhance decision-making and efficiency.
• Establish strong data governance frameworks to ensure accuracy, security, and ethical AI use.
• Integrate data across legacy and modern platforms for a unified digital ecosystem.

Manufacturing Systems & Industry 4.0

• Oversee implementation and optimization of manufacturing execution systems (MES), supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems, and other Industry 4.0 solutions.
• Drive automation and process digitization to improve product quality, reduce downtime, and lower operational costs.

Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Build a high-performing IT and digital innovation team committed to continuous learning, agility, and accountability.
• Collaborate with operations, R&D, supply chain, and sustainability teams to design integrated solutions that meet business and environmental objectives.

Vendor Relations & Financial Stewardship

• Manage partnerships with technology providers, AI vendors, and system integrators to ensure value-driven outcomes.
• Prepare and oversee the IT budget, aligning investments with long-term strategic goals and sustainability commitments.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field; MBA or Master’s preferred.
• A minimum of 10 years in progressive IT experience with at least 5 years in a senior management role.
• Proven success leading AI-driven digital transformation, smart manufacturing initiatives, and ERP implementations — with demonstrated expertise in Epicor ERP adoption, integration, and compliance highly desirable.
• Experience in FMCG, manufacturing, or supply chain environments highly desirable.
• In-depth understanding of enterprise systems (ERP, CRM, MES, SCADA), cybersecurity frameworks, and data governance.
