JOB TITLE: MAINTENANCE PLANNER
Work Location: Montego Bay
The Maintenance Planner is responsible for developing maintenance plans and schedules for online work, forced outages, planned outages, and projects to ensure effective and cost-efficient execution. This role ensures proper coordination of labor, tools, equipment, and contractor services to avoid delays and overlaps. The Maintenance Planner supports the seamless execution of maintenance projects, including preparing project budgets and scope documentation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include but are not limited to the following activities:
- Prioritize and organize work activities, managing multiple tasks to meet established timelines.
- Collaborate with relevant personnel to optimize job and resources scheduling
- Manage maintenance backlog using internal and external resources to ensure high safety, compliance, and asset health standards.
- Promote reliability through preventive, predictive, and condition-based maintenance.
- Monitor and ensure timely execution of work plans, escalating deviations to the Operations and Maintenance Manager.
- Prepare outage scopes and ensure spare parts availability to support maintenance needs.
- Communicate material and inventory needs to warehouse/inventory personnel in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate documentation, including reports on outages, maintenance plans, and inventory usage.
- Utilize the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to schedule and align maintenance activities and generate work orders.
- Review and sign off on Job Safety Analyses prior to job scheduling
- Manage and maintain repository for commissioning reports
- Maintain detailed equipment performance records to guide procurement and planning decisions.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent Project Management certification.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in a similar role within a process plant or equivalent environment.
- Certified training in Project Management.
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
- Strong planning, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
