Job Description
Position Title: Operator Technician – Blow Moulding
Role Purpose
The Operator Technician is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining blow moulding equipment to ensure efficient production of high-quality PET bottles for beverage filling. This role supports continuous operations by troubleshooting equipment issues, performing preventive maintenance, and adhering to safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Machine Operation: Operate blow moulding machines to produce PET bottles according to production schedules.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct routine checks on bottles for defects, weight, wall thickness, and visual appearance.
- Maintenance: Perform basic mechanical adjustments, cleaning, and preventive maintenance on blow moulding equipment.
- Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve minor mechanical or process issues to minimize downtime.
- Documentation: Record production data, machine settings, and maintenance activities in line with company and regulatory requirements.
- Safety Compliance: Follow all health, safety, and environmental protocols, including PPE usage and safe machine handling.
- Collaboration: Work closely with production, quality, and maintenance teams to ensure smooth operations.
- Continuous Improvement: Suggest process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize machine performance.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Technical diploma or certification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (preferred).
- Experience: Minimum 2–3 years in a manufacturing environment, preferably in beverage or plastics industry.
- Technical Skills: Knowledge of blow moulding processes, PET resin handling, and machine operation.
- Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving ability, attention to detail, teamwork, and communication skills.
