INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY MANAGER
The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring all IT policies, procedures, and directives outlined by the corporate office are effectively carried out by the team at the resorts. He will ensure that there is adequate IT coverage at the resort and check to ensure the performance of the resort personnel is up to standard. The regional manager will liaise with key resort personnel to determine the adequacy of IT service at the resort. He will oversee the computer/server room operation and environment at the resorts, providing information, direction, and/or recommendations regarding network installations and configurations, including television and wireless systems, and resolve network operational issues.
Specific Requirements/Duties of the Position Include:
- Monitoring the effectiveness of the IT team on the resort to ensure adherence to Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Assisting in the planning and implementing of additions, deletions, and major modifications to the supporting regional infrastructure.
- Implementing network security at the regional level as established by corporate standards.
- Oversees the administration and maintenance of the company's infrastructure and directs junior technicians when necessary.
- Managing and developing changes to the company's telephone system at the regional level, according to corporate standards and direction.
- Overseeing troubleshooting, systems backups, archiving, and disaster recovery and provides expert support when necessary
- Building and maintaining vendor relationships and managing the purchase of hardware and software products.
- Developing requirements, outlines, budgets, and schedules for information technology projects
Qualifications and Experience:
- A bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science, engineering, or a related field is required; a master’s degree in information systems or computer science is strongly preferred.
- 8+ years of experience managing technology and information resources
- Experience providing strategic IT direction.
- Proven track record in designing systems architecture and executing systems integration projects.
- Ability to communicate with and support the technological requirements for internal and external clients. Strong operational, organisational and negotiation skills are required.
- Proven project management skills, including experience managing technology vendors and vendor relations.
