S.M. Jaleel & Company Limited, the Caribbean’s largest non‑alcoholic beverage manufacturer, is seeking a Production Operator to join our dynamic team in San Fernando. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and monitoring production machinery to ensure efficient, safe, and compliant manufacturing processes for both carbonated and still beverages.
Operate machinery and equipment according to standard operating procedures (SOPs) to produce beverages.
Monitor process parameters including temperature, pressure, flow rates, and chemical concentrations to maintain optimal operating conditions.
Adjust equipment and processes as needed to maximize production efficiency and minimize downtime.
Troubleshoot issues to quickly identify problems and implement corrective actions.
Adhere to safety protocols and regulatory requirements to ensure a safe working environment.
Perform routine maintenance such as cleaning, lubricating, and replacing parts to keep equipment in good condition.
Assist maintenance personnel with repairs and upgrades when required.
Conduct quality checks by sampling and testing products to ensure compliance with company standards.
Maintain accurate records of production activities, maintenance logs, and quality control data.
Collaborate with team members including supervisors, engineers, and maintenance staff to coordinate operations and resolve issues.
Minimum Academic Requirement: Technical Diploma in Process Plant Operations.
Minimum Experience: Two (2) years working as a process plant operator or in a similar manufacturing role.
Knowledge of plant operations, machinery, and production processes.
Familiarity with industrial safety protocols and regulations.
Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve issues quickly.
Excellent attention to detail and record‑keeping accuracy.
Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends.
Advancement Opportunities: Potential progression to Senior Operator, Line Supervisor, or Maintenance Technician roles.
