The Regional Business Development Manager (RBDM) is responsible for identifying, developing, and supporting growth opportunities across multiple Caribbean markets. The role focuses on new business development, market expansion, and partnership support, working closely with country teams to convert regional opportunities into sustainable revenue. This is a hands-on, execution-driven role that supports regional growth initiatives while ensuring alignment with group commercial strategy. | |
Specific Responsibilities | |
Regional Market Development - Identify and evaluate new business opportunities across Caribbean markets.
- Conduct market assessments including customer segmentation, competitor analysis, and channel mapping.
- Support the entry of new products, brands, or services into existing and new territories.
- Assist with the development of go-to-market plans for regional initiatives.
Business Development & Partnerships - Support the identification and onboarding of:
- Distribution partners
- Key accounts
- Strategic commercial relationships
- Assist in commercial negotiations in line with approved pricing and margin guidelines.
- Maintain a pipeline of qualified regional opportunities and track progress from lead to execution.
Country & Sales Team Support - · Work collaboratively with country managers and sale Department Manager to support regional growth targets.
- Assist with:
- Key account development
- Large or multi-island customer opportunities
- · Regional tenders and proposals
- · Ensure consistent value propositions and pricing logic across markets where applicable.
Commercial Analysis & Reporting - Prepare business cases for new opportunities, including revenue forecasts and margin analysis.
- Track and report on:
- Regional opportunity pipeline
- New business wins
- Market entry progress
- Provide structured feedback and recommendations to senior management.
Cross-Functional Coordination - · Liaise with:
- Procurement (forecasting and sourcing requirements)
- Marketing (product launches, promotional support)
- Finance (pricing, margins, and performance tracking)
- · Ensure regional initiatives are executed efficiently and within approved frameworks.

Skills/Experience Required |
- Strong business development and opportunity assessment skills
- Solid commercial and financial understanding (pricing, margins, forecasts)
- Effective communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple markets
- Strong planning, reporting, and follow-through capability
- Cultural awareness and adaptability across Caribbean markets
Education and Experience: Education - Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Management, or a related field.
- An MBA or professional commercial certification is an asset.
Experience - 5–8 years’ experience in business development, sales, or commercial roles.
- Experience working across multiple Caribbean markets is strongly preferred.
- Background in distribution, FMCG, industrial, energy, or B2B sectors is an advantage.
