A fast-growing market leader in print production, signage, and outdoor advertising solutions is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to support its finance and revenue operations.
Job Summary
The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring that all revenue and billing transactions are processed accurately and in accordance with company policies. The role ensures that all billing, collections, authorizations, and lodgments are completed in a prudent and compliant manner.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Deposit cheques and reconcile bank accounts
- Prepare quotations and invoices
- Prepare daily lodgements
- Liaise with Account Executives to obtain information on proformas and purchase orders
- Prepare journal entries
- Assist with collecting outstanding receivables
- Assist with accounts payable
- Prepare deferred income schedules, revenue share, and related reports
- Post receipts to verify commissions
- Prepare Account Executive revenue and commission reports
- Perform ODM administrative duties
- Monitor bank accounts for deposits and customer payments
- Prepare ad hoc reports as required
- Monitor all work in progress
- Prepare monthly GCT returns
- Perform any other related duties
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or ACCA Level III
- Ability to organize tasks efficiently and think and plan strategically
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with sound business acumen
- Strong attention to detail with excellent reconciliation skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
- Experience or training in fraud detection is an asset
