About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Branch Supervisor who will be primarily responsible for the direct operations and overall management of the Tobago branch.

Key Responsibilities

As the Branch Supervisor, you will:

• Provide excellent service through understanding and anticipating member needs and exceeding their expectations, understanding of the importance of member service, relationship building, member referrals, accuracy and efficiency.
• Be responsible for branch operations including sales and service delivery, staffing and the physical appearance of the branch
• Supervise/Support staff and assist members when needed.
• Ensure branch operations’ efficiency in all areas, including but not limited to conducting accurate transactions, teller differences are minimized and documented, member services – loans, new accounts etc. - are conducted in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory and internal controls and established policies and procedures including AML/CFT.
• Evaluate, train and develop employees to their highest potential by identifying areas for improvement and appropriately coach, train and correct employee performance.
• Monitor employee performance and complete performance appraisals, recommend reward, recognition and/or disciplinary action as required.
• Consistently achieve threshold levels of annual targets and service performance standards; overall accountability for improving member service and branch success.
• Approve/analyse loans, make recommendations in accordance with policy and procedure.
• Follow-up on member complaints and make recommendations for corrective action to support service standards.
• Prepare, analyse and submit assigned reports with recommendations within stipulated timeframes.
• Maintain an up-to-date and thorough knowledge of the Credit Union’s products and services.
• Keep abreast of current market trends in alignment with the organization’s strategic goals.

What We’re Looking For.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management or a related field.
• Certification in AML/CFT.
• Certificate in Supervisory Management.
• At least 2 to 4 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
• At least 2 years of supervisory experience.
• Knowledge/ Understanding of financial products and services.
• In depth knowledge of Credit Union laws and regulations.
• In depth knowledge of customer service principles and practices.
• Reliable and able to accommodate a flexible work schedule.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices and procedures.
• Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
