The Business Development Manager will be responsible for leading the Company’s (B2B and B2C) sales operations function, ensuring performance discipline, pricing integrity, and execution alignment across the sales lifecycle.
Primary objective of the job:
The Business Development Manager role oversees a lean but strategic team responsible for achieving set sales targets, performance reporting, pipeline governance and sales process coordination. The Manager serves as the central link between Sales, Finance, Warehousing and Service Delivery—enabling timely, accurate, and profitable growth outcomes.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead forecasting, pipeline management and KPI tracking to ensure disciplined sales execution and achievement of set goals.
- Make strong, special pricing recommendations to Senior Management where applicable, ensuring commercial viability and sustainability.
- Coach, manage and develop direct reports, providing leadership and direction across performance and operations.
- Coordinate across Sales, Finance, Warehousing, and Delivery to remove execution friction internally and externally to enable smooth fulfilment.
- Support strategic projects and initiatives with operational planning and performance insights.
- Able to travel within the CARICOM region.
Academic Qualifications and Experience Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related field.
- MBA or similar advanced degree preferred.
- A minimum of eight (8) years’ experience and a proven track record in sales management.
- Valid Driver’s License
- Valid Passport
Functional Skills:
- Strong command of CRM systems and sales forecasting tools.
- Advanced MS Excel proficiency and reporting capabilities.
- Strong financial acumen and pricing analysis capability.
- Ability to lead and coordinate execution across functions.
