Job Title: National Sales Manager
Department: Sales, Marketing & Distribution Department

Subordinates: Sales Supervisor, Trade Sales Executives, Food Service Sales Executives, Retail

Travel: Has autonomy to set travel/office time allocation to achieve objectives, but 60%
travel time is recommended
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement and manage effective sales programs for the Trinidad & Tobago market
- Contribute to the development of sales objectives by forecasting expected sales volume and developing annual sales quotas for team members
- Achieve or exceed team sales value, margin and volume targets in alignment with company strategies and values
- Manage, train, coach and motivate the sales force to develop their skills, to ensure that sales targets and other KPIs are delivered
- Monitor sales force activity to ensure appropriate customer contact time to maintain customer satisfaction
- Maintain sales volume, product mix and recommend selling price by keeping current with market conditions, changing trends, economic indicators and competitors
- Continually assess new and existing distribution channels, develop and evaluate their performance and manage conflict ensuring alignment with strategic plan
- Perform monthly forecasting activities to communicate expected product mix and sales volumes
- Design and implement sales initiatives, strategies and programs to capture new target markets
- Recommend product or service enhancements to improve customer satisfaction and sales potential
- Meet with key relevant customers to discuss their evolving needs, and to assess the quality of our company’s relationship with them in order to maximize sales
- Create, implement and manage relevant SOP’s to maximize efficiency in the customer service process
- Ensure distribution budgets are kept
- To report on sales and service activities to the Directors
- To perform other related duties and special projects as directed by the Commercial Director
Professional Qualification & Experience:
- A BSc. Degree in Commerce, Sales, Marketing, Management Studies or a related discipline
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar or comparable position
- Certifications in Customer Service
- Any suitable combination of training and experience
Professional Skills & Abilities:
- Excellent Interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong negotiation skills
- Pursues systematic approach to problem solving
- Familiarity with statistical reports and quantitative analysis
- Possess an excellent command of Microsoft Excel
- Hands-on experience with Sage Accounting is preferred
- Working knowledge of relevant Trinidad & Tobago tariffs is desirable
