Quality Officer
(Permanent)

Location: San Juan/Barataria
Salary: $7,000.00 to $8,000.00 (maximum)
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Implement and maintain food safety and quality management systems, including:
- Evaluation and management of product non conformances
- Product traceability and controls for non-conforming materials
- Equipment calibration and certification schedules
- HACCP inspections, GMP protocols, and cleaning/sanitation monitoring
- Food safety plan validation and training
- Supply chain, chemical, pest control, water/air quality, and waste management oversight
- Analystical and Environment Pathogen Testing (EPTP)
- Maintain accurate quality records and ensure timely reporting
- Maintain accurate quality records and ensure timely reporting of deviations or risks.
- Lead investigations and implement corrective actions for production non-conformances and customer complaints.
- Conduct internal and external audits, supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with production and operations teams to maintain a culture of quality and safety.
- Ensure compliance with all Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) guidelines.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience
- BSc. in Chemistry, Food Science and/or related discipline.
- M.Sc. in Food Chemistry or Food Science and Technology will be an asset.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in Food Manufacturing or Food Service.
- Strong knowledge of HACCP and GMP in the food industy.
- General knowledge of quality management principles and research methodology.
- Computer Literate in Microsoft Office Suite.
