Position Summary
The MR Technician will execute maintenance, repair, and reliability activities on all plant equipment and facilities, ensuring maximum asset availability, safety compliance, and operational efficiency. This position plays a critical role in supporting feed milling operations by reducing downtime, improving equipment performance, and upholding ADM safety and GMP standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical guidance and support on maintenance-related queries.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve equipment failures to minimize downtime.
- Assist the M&R Lead and Continuous Improvement Engineer with all maintenance and reliability activities.
- Support the Continuous Improvement Engineer with projects from planning through execution.
- Carry out repairs, preventative and predictive maintenance on all Master Mix equipment and facilities.
- Execute work following Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and other safe work procedures.
- Collaborate with production staff to ensure smooth plant operations.
- Support root cause analysis (RCA) investigations and implement corrective actions.
- Assist in storeroom and spare parts management, including identification of critical spares.
- Participate in 5S, RCM and TPM initiatives to drive continuous improvement.
- Utilize CMMS and other systems to record and analyze maintenance information.
- Ensure compliance with ADM policies, procedures, safety standards, and GMP requirements.
Required Competencies
- Specialized knowledge of electrical systems (12KV, 440V, 110V, 24V).
- Basic knowledge of PLC controls, hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, and fabrication.
- Ability to read and interpret process, electrical, mechanical, and structural drawings.
- Basic knowledge of heavy equipment mechanical/electrical systems (e.g., trucks).
- Familiarity with industry specifications, OSHA regulations, and machine shop practices.
- Understanding of industrial motor controls and facilities maintenance.
- Proficiency in computer applications and maintenance systems.
- Working on heights, confined spaces and lifting competency.

Qualifications & Experience
Applicants must meet one of the following criteria:
Option 1:
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a commercial/industrial environment.
Option 2:
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience in a commercial/industrial animal feed manufacturing environment.
Option 3:
- Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or related discipline) from a recognized institution with 3 years commercial/industrial experience.
Work Environment
- Industrial feed milling facility with exposure to noise, dust, vibration, and high temperatures.
- Must be capable of working at heights, in confined spaces, and around rotating machinery.
- Standard schedule with flexibility for overtime, shift work, and call-outs.
