About the Firm
Joseph Rowe is a high-quality boutique law firm with offices on the islands of Nevis, St. Kitts and Grenada that provides personalized legal services to a select client base. We also provide trust and corporate services and citizenship by investment through our in-house licensed companies Belvedere Management Corp and our All Star group of companies, respectively. The firm is seeking a highly hands-on Chief Financial Officer to oversee financial operations and support the firm’s stability, efficiency, and measured growth.
Position Summary
The CFO will work directly with the Managing Partner and attorneys, managing all financial aspects of the firm. This role is ideal for a finance professional who thrives in a small-firm environment, is comfortable wearing multiple hats, and enjoys being closely involved in day-to-day operations as well as strategic planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
- Oversee billing, collections, payroll, and trust accounting
- Monitor cash flow and working capital; prepare partner financial reports
- Develop and administer partner compensation and expense allocation
- Ensure compliance with tax, regulatory, and ethical requirements
- Improve internal financial processes and controls
- Coordinate with outside accountants and banks
- Support firm leadership with financial analysis and planning
- Assist with operational matters as needed in a small-firm setting
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (CPA preferred but not required)
- 5 or more years of relevant accounting experience
- Prior experience with a law firm or professional services organization an asset
- Strong understanding of law firm billing, trust accounting, and compliance requirements
- Self-directed, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently
- High level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism
