FINANCIAL ANALYST
The Financial Analyst is responsible for managing the organization's payables, cash flow, investments, and financial risk. This role requires a deep understanding of financial markets, strong analytical skills, and the ability to make sound financial decisions.
Daily Responsibilities:
- Manage and monitor transactions related to Tyre Warehouse Automotive operations.
- Review and invoice payment batches entered in Sage.
- Proactively manage Supplier and Banking relationships, ensuring there is regular communication and resolution of issues.
Weekly Responsibilities:
- Assist in prepare rolling cashflow forecasts and relevant commentaries to guide planning of the week’s vendor payments.
- Prepare bank reconciliations for the main operating bank and credit card accounts.
- Manage and ensure the company’s timely and sufficient procurement of foreign exchange to meet operating needs.
Monthly Responsibilities:
- Request and Reconcile Key supplier statements with the company’s Accounts Payable listing.
- Work closely with the CFO and Chief Accountant to analyse and report on ad-hoc financial data, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities
- Prepare all analyses and reconciliations per assigned month-end checklist areas and assigned GL accounts.
As Needed Responsibilities:
- Verify and enter journal vouchers, Sage AR receipts, and bank reconciliations.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Thorough understanding of financial markets, cash flow management, and risk management.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in accounting software (Sage) and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting.
