Job Title: Domestic Warehouse Supervisor

Position Summary

The Domestic Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for the overall management and control of the Domestic Finished Goods Warehouse. This role oversees receiving, storage, inventory control, picking, dispatch, and reporting activities to ensure stock accuracy, efficient order fulfillment, and full compliance with food safety and cold-chain standards. The position plays a critical role in supporting local distribution operations and maintaining audit readiness.

Key Responsibilities

Receiving & Storage

• Receive finished goods from Production and verify quantities, condition, and supporting documentation.
• Ensure all products are correctly labeled, assigned to designated storage locations, and stored in accordance with FIFO principles.
• Maintain orderly and efficient freezer organization to support accurate picking and inventory control.

Inventory Control

• Maintain accurate stock levels and produce daily inventory reports.
• Track lot numbers, expiry dates, and slow-moving items.
• Identify, investigate, and report stock variances or discrepancies to the Plant Manager and Inventory Control team within required timelines.

Picking & Dispatch

• Review Sales picking lists and prepare orders by delivery route.
• Supervise picking activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to cold-chain requirements.
• Issue goods to delivery drivers and accurately document dispatches, returns, and adjustments.

Reporting & Documentation

• Prepare and submit daily stock movement and dispatch reports.
• Maintain accurate logs for receipts, issues, returns, and inventory adjustments.
• Ensure all warehouse documentation is complete, accurate, and audit-ready.

Staff Supervision & Training

• Assign daily tasks and monitor performance of warehouse and freezer staff.
• Conduct verbal warnings where required and escalate matters for written disciplinary action in accordance with company procedures.
• Train staff on freezer handling, documentation standards, FIFO practices, and safety requirements.

Coordination & Communication

• Liaise with Sales, Production, Warehouse Management, and the Operations Engineer to ensure smooth workflow and timely order fulfillment.
• Communicate operational issues, risks, or delays promptly to relevant stakeholders.

Compliance, Safety & Housekeeping

• Enforce compliance with GMP, HACCP, PPE, and cold-chain protocols at all times.
• Ensure freezer cleanliness, organization, and readiness for internal and external audits.
• Promote a safe working environment and adherence to company policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum of five (5) O’Level/CXC passes, including Mathematics and English.
• Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in warehousing, dispatch, logistics, or cold-storage operations.
• Proven supervisory experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.
• Strong knowledge of FIFO principles and inventory management practices.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and filters.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in cold-storage environments.
• High level of integrity; honest, reliable, and action-oriented.
