This role ensures that products are imported, stored, and delivered efficiently, safely, and on schedule, while maintaining Jotun quality standards and exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
1. Supply Chain & Logistics
- Manage inbound shipments from Jotun manufacturing hubs, ensuring timely documentation, customs clearance, and freight coordination.
- Plan and schedule regional distribution to dealers, contractors, and key accounts.
- Optimize transportation routes and logistics partners to control costs and improve delivery performance.
2. Inventory & Warehouse Management
- Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, and dispatch.
- Maintain accurate stock levels and monitor slow-moving, fast-moving, and expired/aging inventory.
- Implement FIFO/FEFO and ensure proper handling of paints, chemicals, and coatings per Jotun standards.
- Enforce safety, environmental, and HSE procedures within all warehouse facilities.
3. Operational Efficiency
- Develop and implement SOPs to improve productivity, accuracy, and operational workflow.
- Lead initiatives to enhance order fulfilment, customer responsiveness, and inventory turnover.
- Monitor KPIs such as OTIF (On-Time In-Full), warehouse efficiency, shrinkage, and logistics cost.
4. Team Leadership
- Supervise warehouse staff, delivery teams, and logistics personnel.
- Recruit, train, and develop employees, with a focus on safety and operational excellence.
- Conduct performance reviews and foster a culture of accountability and teamwork.
5. Vendor & Partner Management
- Manage relationships with freight forwarders, customs brokers, trucking companies, and packaging suppliers.
- Ensure compliance with Jotun distributor requirements and standards.
6. Compliance, Safety & Quality Control
- Ensure adherence to regional regulatory requirements, including customs, transportation, and environmental regulations.
- Maintain proper HSE documentation and conduct regular safety audits.
- Ensure quality control measures are followed to prevent contamination, leaks, or product damage.
7. Budgeting & Reporting
- Prepare and manage operational budgets, including warehousing, logistics, transportation, and equipment.
- Provide regular operational reports and data analysis for senior management.
- Support financial forecasting through accurate demand planning and inventory data.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in operations or supply chain management (distribution, FMCG, or industrial coatings preferred).
- Experience managing warehouse teams and logistics processes.
- Knowledge of paint/coating storage and handling is an asset.
