The Students’ Loan Bureau (SLB) invites applications from suitably qualified persons for the following position:
Quality Officer(Level 7)
The Quality Officer is accountable for the effective and efficient quality assessment against standards for assigned areas in order that SLB achieves its Mission, Vision and Major Targets in a sustainable manner.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Planning
- Contribute to the development of the Corporate Services Division's annual strategic planning process, resulting in the division's cascaded strategic plan and scorecard.
- Update, in conjunction with direct supervisor, own Job Accountability, ensuring alignment to the Bureau's cascaded strategic plan and scorecard.
- Develop, in conjunction with direct supervisor, own individual development plan arising from the performance review process.
Execution
- Conduct quality assessments of assigned areas against standards, ensuring compliance with the Bureau’s standards and identifying areas for improvement.
- Ensure that all quality-related documentation is up-to-date, accurate, and easily accessible to relevant parties.
- Participate in audits and reviews of quality systems and processes to ensure continuous improvement, ensuring that all audit findings are addressed and closed out in a timely manner.
- Compile reports on quality assessment results, progress towards improvement goals, and any emerging issues that may impact quality performance, ensuring that the reports are accurate, concise, and timely.
- Conduct risk assessments to identify potential quality issues and develop strategies to mitigate them, ensuring that risk mitigation strategies are implemented and monitored.
- Analyse quality assessment data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities for innovation, ensuring that the data analysis is accurate and actionable.
- Assist in the development and implementation of a system for tracking and reporting on corrective and preventive actions to ensure timely resolution of quality issues, ensuring that all corrective and preventive actions are tracked and closed out in a timely manner.
- Communicate quality assessment findings, recommendations, and action plans to stakeholders at all levels of the Bureau, ensuring that the communication is clear, concise, and targeted to the appropriate audience.
Monitoring and Reporting
- Contribute to the preparation of the Corporate Services monthly performance report in the scorecard format, then attend the monthly divisional strategy review meeting in discussing performance issues, ensuring there are diagnoses and corrective actions for any performance variances.
Qualifications and Experience
- First Degree in Management or equivalent;
- Specialized training in Quality Management.
- Three (3) years’ experience in a similar position.
Skills, Behaviours and Competencies Required
- Understanding and working knowledge of general and financial management principles.
- Understanding and working knowledge of SLB’s Quality and Standards practices, procedures and techniques.
- Understanding and working knowledge of local financial and economic environment.
- Understanding and working knowledge of quality management
Remuneration Package
- Basic Salary $4,266,270.00 - $5,737,658.00
