We are seeking a Market Data Sr. Associatefor the Caribbean Aggregation Procurement Programme, spearheaded by RELP and the Global Energy Alliance for People and Planet (GEAPP), to join our dynamic, rapidly growing and innovative organisation.

We are funded by philanthropic organisations, including the Rockefeller Foundation, Quadrature Climate Foundation, Ballmer Group, European Climate Foundation, and Packard Foundation, IKEA Foundation, Oak Foundation, Global Energy Alliance for People and Planet and Good Energies Foundation through Climate Breakthrough.
The candidate's main focus will be to gather, organize, analyse, and validate data, both technical and economical/financial for the Caribbean Region, both for renewable and non renewable energy sources. This will be done with a focus on understanding the region's context in terms of its energy matrix´s past, present and a future with more renewables, helping dimension its associated impacts for the different countries.
You will succeed in this role if you can provide strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex technical and economic documents, make decisions based on basic interpretation of legal documents, understand the objectives of the task at hand in a short period of time, and autonomously add value to it.

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE:
Search for data and statistical sources of the countries part of the Caribbean Aggregation project, in reference to the topics of interest: Project evaluation data (Capex, Opex, Taxes, Cost of Capital, etc,) relating to Renewable Energies, Energy Storage & Energy Transmission, Auctions and other procurement mechanisms, Integrated Energy & Resource Planning, Electrical energy costs, Installed Power Capacity and Energy Generation.
Evaluate new data sources, helping keep our internal database validated and up-to-date with the latest data releases, ready for decision-making and deep-dive analysis.
Help improve our data-gathering structure and mechanisms based on the Aggregation project's needs.
Assist country governments and internal stakeholders in the overall process of auction design and other interventions within the broader countries workflow that might arise.
Provide both high-level and deep-dive technical and economic/financial analysis of energy supply/demand within the region, as well as expected renewable energy and fossil fuel costs and renewable energy program planning, presenting the results in a consistent and targeted manner.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING:
Bachelor's degree in Economics, Industrial, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
8-10 years of experience in related roles.
Courses/Postgraduate studies in Energy, both in general and in Renewable Energy in particular.
Expertise in economic analysis, cost estimation, and financial modeling related to energy projects.
Medium/advanced Knowledge of Excel and Macros/Visual Basic.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work effectively within a team and collaborate with diverse stakeholders within different projects/countries at the same time.
Previous involvement in evaluating technical and economic aspects of large-scale energy projects.
Knowledge of public procurement processes and regulatory frameworks in the energy sector.
Proficiency in English.
