About the Role
A leading hospitality property in Jamaica, is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to oversee all maintenance operations and ensure the resort’s facilities meet the highest standards of safety, functionality, and guest satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily maintenance operations across the property (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, pools, landscaping, etc.).
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs.
- Lead, train, schedule, and evaluate maintenance staff.
- Respond to maintenance requests and coordinate solutions with relevant departments.
- Maintain inventory of tools and supplies; monitor and control maintenance budgets.
- Ensure all work complies with safety, environmental, and operational standards.
- Prepare maintenance reports and updates for management.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a maintenance managerial role (900 plus rooms)
- Technical certification in Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical, or a related field (degree an asset).
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of preventative maintenance systems and safety procedures.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts.
