The Maintenance Manager is responsible for:
- Leading the daily operation of the Maintenance Department, ensuring all facilities, equipment, and infrastructure operate at peak performance and in compliance with brand standards.
- Overseeing preventive and corrective maintenance programs for guest rooms, public areas, mechanical systems, and back-of-house infrastructure.
- Managing budgets, maintenance costs, energy consumption, and capital improvement plans with a strategic and efficient approach.
- Ensuring compliance with safety regulations, environmental guidelines, and local building codes across all technical operations.
- Supervising engineering and technical teams, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and high performance.
- Coordinating major repairs, renovations, and technical projects with internal departments and external contractors.
- Implementing sustainable operational practices focused on energy efficiency, water conservation, and equipment optimization.
- Responding swiftly to emergencies or breakdowns to safeguard guest experience and operational continuity.
- Maintaining accurate records, maintenance logs, inventories, and reporting for audits and corporate requirements.
- Ensuring optimal operation of HVAC systems, electrical installations, water treatment plants, pools, and mechanical equipment.
The ideal candidate has:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in hotel engineering, technical operations, or maintenance management, preferably in luxury or high-volume resorts.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, mechanical equipment, and preventive maintenance programs.
- Proven experience leading teams and coordinating large-scale maintenance operations.
- Strong analytical skills, budget management, and ability to prioritize complex tasks.
- Knowledge of safety regulations, environmental standards, and compliance requirements.
- Proactive mindset with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage critical situations with poise and efficiency.
- Technical certifications or engineering studies in a related field are preferred.
