MILLWRIGHT / INDUSTRIAL MECHANIC 

Primary Responsibilities: 

• Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the successful applicants will have responsibility for maintenance, adjustment, installation and repairs of various production machinery / equipment and the supporting material trsnafer systems.

Qualification, Competence, Requirements: 

• A Mechanical Engineering Diploma or equivalent. 
• 3+ years’ experience in a heavy industrial or manufacturing entity. 
• Intermediate training in workshop technology. 
• Intermediate plumbing skills with experience in installation, maintenance and repairs
• Basic fabricating and welding skills. 
• Intermediate troubleshooting and diagnostic skills. 
• A high level of safety awareness. 
• Ability to work extended hours, rotating shifts, weekends and on call. 
• Experience in industrial mechanical and pneumatic systems, bearing applications, gearbox components, pumps, fluid transfer systems, conveyors and mills.
• Understanding of maintenance procedure for equipment/machines used in a heavy industrial or manufacturing entity.
• Ability to interpret mechanical specifications and engineering drawings. 
• Sound operational knowledge of maintenance tools and equipment. 

This position may require working in locations that are hot and with exposure to a dusty environment. 

The position also requires working at heights, walking, bending, climbing and standing for prolonged periods.
