
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to lead our Credit Union in achieving strategic objectives related to member value, financial growth, compliance, and operational excellence. The successful candidate will oversee all departments, drive innovation, and ensure compliance with industry regulations and the Co-operative Societies Act.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Strategic leadership and execution of the Credit Union’s goals.
- Financial oversight including budgeting, reporting, investments, and compliance.
- Human resource management, staff development, and succession planning.
- Operational efficiency including systems, processes, and member service delivery.
- Marketing, public relations, and community engagement.
AUTHORITIES & ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Approve invoices, expenses, and investments in conjunction with the ALM Committee.
- Report suspicious and threshold transactions in accordance with legal requirements.
- Support the execution of major events (AGMs, retreats, expos).
- Delegate responsibilities appropriately and ensure continuity of leadership and operations.
- Be proficient/savvy in social media marketing, outreach and online communication (would be an asset)
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Master’s Degree in Management, Business Administration or related field; OR ACCA/CPA Level 3.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a senior supervisory role within a financial institution.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, AML/CFT regulations, and marketing.
- Certification in Supervisory Management.
- Working knowledge of the Emortelle Core Banking System (would be an asset).
