Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and creative Marketing Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, developing, and executing marketing campaigns across various digital platforms to enhance our brand presence and engage our audience. This role requires strong analytical skills, a flair for content creation, and the ability to collaborate across departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Campaign Management:
- Assist in planning, developing, and delivering marketing campaigns within established timelines.
- Social Media Strategy & Execution:
- Create a content calendar for brand social channels, including Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, TikTok, and Instagram.
- Develop engaging and creative content, including writing compelling captions and selecting relevant hashtags.
- Schedule and post content weekly across all platforms.
- Analytics & Reporting:
- Review performance analytics for all social media channels, providing insights into successes and areas for improvement.
- Conduct weekly competitive market analysis and share findings.
- Event Coverage:
- Attend company and sponsored events to provide live social media coverage.
- Best Practices & Optimization:
- Stay updated on industry best practices and trends across social platforms.
- Optimize digital content for SEO to increase visibility and drive traffic to the company’s website and app.
- Customer Engagement:
- Respond to customer inquiries and feedback from social media channels promptly and professionally.
- Digital Platform Management:
- Support content creation and management for other digital platforms, including the company website and app.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with the Sales and Programmes teams to feature promotions and ensure alignment with overall marketing goals.
- Liaise with News team for current and relevant news stories
- Liaise with Programmes department for feature posting and promotion
- Liaise with Sales department for client schedule posts and events
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in social media management and digital marketing.
- Strong knowledge of social media platforms, trends, and best practices.
- Excellent writing skills with the ability to create compelling and engaging content.
- Familiarity with SEO and analytics tools.
- Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
- 2-3 years of job-related experience
- BSc. in Marketing, Communication, Integrated Marketing Communication or related field
- Strong written and verbal skills
- Extensive knowledge of social channels – i.e. Facebook, X formerly Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok
- Must have strong knowledge of pop culture and current events
- Journalism background / experience would be an asset
Working Conditions:
- The physical environment requires the employee to work both inside and outdoors and sometimes at night
- Will be required from time to time to work weekends/holidays for special program events
