The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) provides overall leadership and direction for the Antigua and Barbuda Airport Authority. The CEO is responsible for developing and executing strategic plans, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, overseeing financial performance, and maintaining safe and efficient airport operations. The position serves as the Authority’s primary representative with stakeholders, including government agencies, regulators, employees, unions, and industry partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership and oversight to ensure alignment with the Authority’s mission and vision.
- Develop and implement Board-approved policies, plans, and operational strategies.
- Ensure compliance with national, regional, and international aviation regulations and standards.
- Oversee financial performance, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Lead airport modernisation, infrastructure, and development initiatives.
- Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and service excellence.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with government ministries, regulators, unions, and industry partners.
- Represent the Authority at local, regional, and international meetings, conferences, and forums.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s in Business Administration, Aviation Management, Public Administration, or a related discipline
- 10–15 years of progressively responsible experience in aviation, transportation, or a comparable leadership environment.
- Proven expertise in strategic planning, financial management, and stakeholder relations.
- Completion of or active enrollment in the Airport Management Professional Accreditation Programme (AMPAP) will be considered a strong asset.
- Strong knowledge of aviation regulatory bodies (MOCA, FAA, ECCAA, ICAO).
- Demonstrated ability to lead in high-pressure and complex environments
