Accountabilities:

• Manage production and maintenance team during shift.
• Oversee production line operations.
• Carry out time keeping for the shift team.
• Coordinate and adjust production plans in the event of unplanned machine breakdown.
• Manage available labour for maximum efficiency.
• Check and verify correct recipes/programs are selected before product change/start up.
• Operate machine in the event of staff absence.
• Direct maintenance during production shift.
• Carry out all product quality checks and sign off at all stages of the production process to ensure that the set quality standards are met and/or surpassed.
• Prepare and submit all required reports at the end of the shift.
• Ensure a proper handover to the incoming shift supervisor.
• Able to setup and test for different product types and adjust machine parameters in accordance with SOP.
• Able to carry out operations to ensure efficient delivery of quality products
• Observe machine operations to ensure quality and conformity of products to standards
• Able to stop or reset machines when malfunctions occur, clear machine jams, and report malfunctions
• Report any machine issues to maintenance technician and/or production supervisor
• Enforces and supports all Company polices and improvement efforts as part of the management team.
• Ensure proper housekeeping in work place
• Performs other related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• 5 CXC passes
• Certification in Supervisory training

Skill/Experience:

• 3 years supervisory experience
• Able to operate a forklift
• Excellent critical thinking, operations analysis and complex problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication written and oral skills
• Strong computer literacy

Personal attributes:

• Willing to work extended hours and weekends as required
• Capable of working on a shift basis
• Must adhere to and enforce all safety rules and good manufacturing practices of the Company during the performance of his/her duties
