Accounting Officer – Construction Sector (Freeport/Central)

Salary Range: $8,000 – $12,000- Based on experience
Job Summary:
A detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Officer to manage financial operations for construction projects. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Peachtree Accounting software and a solid understanding of construction-related financial processes. This role supports both day-to-day accounting functions and project-specific financial tracking.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate financial records using Peachtree Accounting software.
Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
Monitor and reconcile bank accounts, project budgets, and general ledger entries.
Assist in preparing financial statements, reports, and project cost summaries.
Track expenditures and ensure proper allocation to construction projects.
Support payroll processing and ensure correct job costing, including calculations for VAT and NIS contributions.
Assist with audits, tax filings, and compliance with financial regulations.
Collaborate with project managers to review budget performance and financial forecasts.
Maintain documentation for contracts, invoices, and vendor records.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, ACCA, or related field.
Minimum 2–3 years of accounting experience.
Proficiency in Peachtree Accounting software is required.
Strong understanding of job costing and construction project accounting.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with local and regional financial regulations.
Experience with multi-project environments and reporting.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
