SENIOR PROCUREMENT OFFICER

 The Trinidad and Tobago Trade and Investment Promotion Agency Limited (Global Trinidad and Tobago) is currently seeking qualified nationals to fill the position of Senior Procurement Officer. The Senior Procurement Officer will provide leadership and oversight of the Agency’s procurement function, ensuring transparency, compliance, and efficiency in all sourcing and contracting activities. The role is key to implementing strategic procurement practices in line with the Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Property Act (2015) and advancing the Agency's goals of investment promotion, export development and business facilitation. 

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and execution of the Annual Procurement Plan and ensure compliance with OPR regulations.
• Manage end-to-end procurement of goods, services and works.
• Develop and update procurement policies, procedures and templates.
• Oversee supplier relations, contract management and negotiations.
• Supervise Procurement and Stores Officers to ensure effective operations.
• Prepare reports, monitor KPIs and identify process improvements. 

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, Law or a related discipline.
• Professional certification (CIPS, PMP, CPSM or equivalent) preferred.
• Minimum of 3–4 years’ experience in procurement, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of public procurement legislation and experience in government or quasi-government environments.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and leadership skills.
