These responsibilities include monitoring the water supply and plants, maintaining storm and sewage systems and performing plumbing installations and repairs to support uninterrupted production and facility operations.
Core Functions
- Monitor and maintain the water supply systems for all production plants and operating facilities.
- Monitor and maintain all water plants and systems to ensure continuous and efficient operation.
- Collect and provide water sample data to the laboratory for analysis and quality assurance.
- Install and maintain air lines, gas lines and water lines for facilities, machinery and equipment in accordance with safety and operational standards.
- Diagnose and repair plumbing issues, fixtures and lines; recommend improvements for system reliability and efficiency.
- Maintain and clear storm drains and sewage systems to prevent blockages, leaks or overflow incidents.
- Perform overhead installations or repairs using ladders, man lifts or forklifts as required.
Minimum Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Certification in Plumbing (for eg. NCTVET Level 2 or 3) or equivalent.
- Minimum one to three years’ experience in industrial or commercial plumbing maintenance.
- Knowledge of reverse osmosis (RO) systems, pumps and fluid distribution networks.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and plumbing schematics.
- Functional proficiency in computerized systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Sound knowledge of diagnostic/troubleshooting techniques, preventative maintenance and food safety techniques.
- Sound human relations, communication, time management, organizational, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Highly professional, ethical and of integrity.
- Required to work on shift, weekends and public holidays, to meet operational demands.
- Ability to operate man lifts, forklifts and other equipment safely.
