BARTENDER-MIXOLOGIST

Position Overview

The Bartender will play a key role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests while delivering exceptional service at the bar.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of beverages to the recipe specifications, including cocktails, beers, wines, and non-alcoholic drinks, while doing so in a prompt and friendly manner.
• Ensure the quality and consistency of all beverages served, including cocktails, wines, and specialty drinks, by monitoring preparation techniques, presentation standards, and taste profiles.
• Interact with customers in a positive and engaging manner, providing recommendations, taking orders, and ensuring guest satisfaction.
• Maintain a clean and organized bar area, including stocking supplies, cleaning equipment, and disposing of waste in accordance with health and safety standards.
• Adhere to responsible alcohol service practices, including verifying the legal drinking age of customers and refusing service to intoxicated individuals.
• Prepare garnishes, mixers, and other ingredients for drinks, ensuring accuracy and consistency in recipes and presentation.
• Process payments accurately, handle cash and credit transactions.
• Monitor inventory levels of bar supplies, including alcohol, mixers, and glassware, and communicate any shortages or discrepancies to management.
• Conduct regular stock counts as required
• Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement promotional activities, themed events, and drink specials to drive sales and enhance the guest experience.
• Cross-train as a Floor Staff team member and be available to fill in that role if required by the business.

Key Attributes

• Previous experience as a bartender in a bar, restaurant, or hospitality setting is preferred but not required.
• Strong knowledge of beverage preparation techniques, including mixing cocktails, pouring beer, and serving wine.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests from diverse backgrounds.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in preparing drinks, handling cash, and maintaining cleanliness in the bar area.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude and professionalism.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the needs of the business.
