Our client, Bourse Securities Limited is seeking to fill the position of Manager Human Resources. This is a permanent role based in Chaguanas.
JOB SUMMARY
The Manager Human Resources (MHR) is responsible for Strategic, Operational and Administrative aspects of the Company’s human capital resources. The MHR is also responsible for the organisation’s OSH management.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Aspects:
- Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy, working with the CEO and Human Resources Committee.
- Develop, update and maintain comprehensive HR policies and procedures for effective management of employees across the organisation; ensure effective communication with employees of HR policies and practices.
Operational Aspects:
- Recruitment - Manage recruitment processes; undertake ongoing job analysis exercises to ensure job descriptions align with job functions; oversee employee induction and orientation.
- Performance Management - Coordinate periodic performance management process; ensure that the organization is resourced to undertake effective performance assessments and development plans for its employees.
- Compensation Management – Coordinate periodic reviews of the organisation’s existing compensation packages, relative to comparable market/industry levels; recommend adjustments to the CEO as appropriate.
- Employee Relations - Manage emerging staff issues, disciplinary and grievance matters in consultation with the Chief Executive Officer; ensure that any such issues are effectively managed and compliant with good industrial relations practice. Develop and execute HR employee activity calendar (seasonal events, employee wellness engagements etc.)
- Audit Facilitation – Work with various stakeholders (internal auditors, regulators etc.) to facilitate periodic audits of the organization’s HR function.
HR Administration:
- Manage and maintain employee records in keeping with Compliance and Statutory requirements.
- Manage the organisation’s accommodations for employees in keeping with OSHA and other applicable legislation, policies and procedures.
- Undertake other duties as may be assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management or related discipline from an accredited tertiary institution.
- Post Graduate Qualification will be an asset.
- A minimum of seven (7) years’ experience in human resource management with five (5) years managerial/senior level experience.
- Knowledge of applicable labour and OSHA legislation.
- Proficient in Microsoft suite of software solutions and other HR-relevant software as may be required.
- A suitable combination of qualification and experience will be considered.
