- Facilitate hands-on workshops and lead classroom discussions that encourage critical thinking.
- Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and maintain accurate performance records.
- Act as a mentor, providing valuable advice on accounting career paths and further education opportunities.
- Collaborate with the Programme Administrator and SME Lecturers to create interdisciplinary learning experiences.
- Stay current with the latest accounting standards, practices, and educational technologies.
What We're Looking For (Qualifications & Skills):
Required:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field OR a professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA, ACCA).
- Proven experience teaching or training at a high school, college, or corporate level.
- Strong foundational knowledge of accounting principles, particularly the Accounts Payable and Procure-to-Pay cycles.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and public speaking skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (advanced Excel skills are a plus) and familiarity with educational technology.
- A mentoring mindset with the ability to adapt content for learners of varying skill levels.
Preferred (Assets):
- Corporate accounting experience is a significant advantage.
- Published research or articles in the field of accounting.
- Teaching certification or licensure.
- Strong understanding of current accounting software platforms.
How to Apply:
If you are ready to inspire the next generation of accounting professionals, we would love to hear from you. Please apply with your resume and a cover letter detailing your relevant experience and teaching philosophy.
