Our client in the Financial Sector is seeking to hire a Loans Officer 

Location: POS

Salary: $6,500.00

Job Summary

Loans officers are responsible for the achievement of the Company’s loans targets as established by the Organization.

Job Duties

• Provide financial guidance to members who wish to apply for loans
• Assist member with the completion of loan applications, and then prepare such applications for submission for approval
• Evaluate and process shares and deposit withdrawals at member’s request
• Communicate with members on the status of their applications
• Evaluate and process loan disbursements daily
• Contribute to the achievement of annual loan targets
• Cross sell Company products where applicable
• Respond to members queries in a timely manner
• Assist with back-office duties such as filing, scanning, pledging and balancing of work.
• Additional ad hoc duties as directed by the Finance Manager

Job Requirements

• At least 2 years’ relevant work experience
• Knowledge of assessing loans and credit risk would be an asset
• 5 CXC (inclusive of Math and English)
• 3 CAPE passes
• Knowledge of Word and Excel (knowledge of Emortelle will be an asset)
