ACCOUNTANT - ONE YEAR CONTRACT
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare, review, and analyze monthly financial statements, management reports, and reconciliations.
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy of all financial records.
- Track and report daily revenue from ticket sales, concessions, and special events.
- Monitor and report on operational expenses, including costs related to maintenance, staffing, and marketing.
- Prepare periodic budgets, cash flow projections, and financial forecasts for management review.
Revenue & Cash Management:
- Reconcile daily cash, credit card, and online ticket sales with POS reports and bank deposits.
- Oversee cash handling procedures, ensuring compliance with internal control and company policies.
- Investigate and resolve any discrepancies between system sales reports and actual deposits.
Compliance & Statutory Obligations:
- Ensure accurate and timely remittance of statutory deductions such as PAYE, NIS, and Health Surcharge.
- Prepare and file VAT returns and other required government reports.
- Assist in the preparation and coordination of the annual audit process.
Internal Controls & Process Improvement:
- Establish and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard financial data and operations.
- Identify and implement improvements in accounting systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to management for cost optimization and operational effectiveness.
Qualifications & Experience:
- ACCA Level II or higher.
- Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in accounting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Peachtree, or similar) and Microsoft Excel.
- Sound understanding of POS systems and revenue reconciliation processes.
- Knowledge of local tax and statutory regulations.
- Experience in preparing and managing budgets, financial forecasts, and cash flow projections.
